Alyson Lundell is the Director of Corporate Communications for Universal Orlando Resort. A PR practitioner for more than 15 years, Alyson has spent the majority of her career in the tourism industry promoting central Florida’s major attractions. Her current role with Universal Orlando has involved attraction openings including TRASNFORMERS: The Ride – 3D and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade which opened in 2010 followed by the 2014 opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. She is also responsible for overseeing publicity efforts around Universal’s annual events, including Mardi Gras and Halloween Horror Nights – and her sons, Cooper and Holden, believe that their mom goes to work every day with Spider-Man, Captain America and the adorable minions.

Jennifer will be presenting on the importance of using the four-step public relations process – Research, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation (RPIE) – in a public relations plan with qualitative and quantitative data, and lifts the public relations measurements from output-based to outcomes-focused.

Public Relations professional installed as FPRA president-elect
February 5, 2016 — The Nature Coast Chapter (serving both Citrus and Hernando Counties) of the Florida Public Relations Association installed Amy Lou McLaughlin, APR, CPRC, to serve as president-elect in 2016.
FPRA is a statewide professional association for public relations professionals and is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States. McLaughlin is the Director of Marketing & Communications at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River. Since joining FPRA in 2004, she has served on the Chapter’s Board of Directors and chaired Roast ‘n Toast, the Chapter’s signature scholarship fundraiser.
In 2014, McLaughlin was awarded the Nature Coast Chapter’s highest honor, Public Relations Professional of the Year. She has also earned Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and is a Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) through FPRA.
This past fall, the Chapter installed Lindsay Tozer, Information Services Director for the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, to serve as the Director of Public Relations, and Tobey Phillips, Public Information Officer for the Board of County Commissioners, as the Chapter’s Secretary.
